Introduction

Deception wears a mask to hide the identity of a person who may not be what you see. That is the underlying theme for several stories. There are five short-stories and two flash fiction pieces. Those two were re-edited from prior short stories. The idea being that a short story can be reduced by editing and still maintain the element of suspense.

 It was a challenge. What I learned, shorter can oftentimes be better. If these stories were labeled murder mysteries, it would be giving away too much. A word of caution, this is adult fiction. I’ve kept the vulgarity to a minimum. In the real world, it still exists for which
